Snorkeling/Scuba - the many small islands surrounding Ao Nang provide ideal venues for snorkeling. These are accessible by local longtail boats. In addition there are several PADI certified dive shops. For diving tours, we recommend Phra Nang Divers and Aqua-vision

Longtail boats - boats can be rented for trips to neighboring islands and beaches. These can be hired at the beachfront in Ao Nang. Half day trips are 800 and full day rental is 1,500 Baht. A water taxi service is also available for short trips.

Tiger Cave / Wat Tam Suea - the main attraction of the temple compound are the numerous caves located in the valley. The jungle setting finds monks living in the caves and you can explore the paths leading amongst huge trees and strange rock formations, walking through a land that time has forgot. Admission free.

Elephant Rides - one hour trips for about 700 Baht and two hours for 1,200 Baht can be booked by Lai Thai.

National Parks - numerous national parks are located nearby, notably than Bokaranee, the hot springs at Klong Tom, Huay to waterfall and fossil shell beach.
